A welcoming home for all as taught to us by Baltimore's earliest settlers

Founded in 1755, Zion Church of the City of Baltimore is the mother church of Lutheranism for the Baltimore metro region. Our services are in both English and German. We have maintained uninterrupted German services for over 265 years, the longest in the nation.

A registered national historic landmark, we are conveniently located downtown between City Hall and the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar.

Throughout the year we host renowned annual events, welcoming visitors from near and abroad who help us celebrate our German roots.

We welcome you to learn more about us, our services, our history, and much more.
