Planning our days and weeks and months ahead can be a great skill. It can also be an act of trying to control life. When our heads are so full of details and agendas, the noise can keep us from listening to how God is actually speaking into our lives, from letting our faith ripen. Jesus reminds us that we are rooted into something much greater than ourselves, and this rooting gives us the nourishment we need to unfurl into the world.
