The graves of
former pastors lie within the garden area.
The most recent (and last) is Reverend Julius Hofman. The oldest
is the Reverend Siegfried Gerock and son, who served ZION CHURCH from 1785
– 1787. Also buried here is the Reverend Johann Nicolas Kurtz, father of Pastor Johann Daniel
Kurtz (1785 – 1833), and one of America’s early Lutheran clergy pioneers. | |
