The SANCTUARY ENTRANCE WINDOWS:

THE INDUSTRY WINDOW

In the industry window, the main portion shows a harbor scene with a ship flying the flag of the North German Lloyd Shipping line, linking Baltimore with Bremerhaven/Germany, a merchant, and workers with a package and a barrel - symbolizing the tobacco trade. The items shown in the bottom are a Knabe piano, a Steel mill, and the linotype machine, invented in Baltimore by Ottmar Mergenthaler.
