THE INDUSTRY WINDOW

In the industry window,
the main portion shows a harbor scene with a ship flying the
flag of the North German Lloyd Shipping line, linking Baltimore with
Bremerhaven/Germany, a merchant, and workers with a package and a
barrel - symbolizing the tobacco trade. The
items shown in the bottom are a Knabe piano, a Steel mill, and
the linotype
machine, invented in Baltimore by Ottmar Mergenthaler.
