CHRISTIAN EDUCATION The adults meet at the same time for lively discussions focusing
on a variety of topics ranging from Bible studies, church history, and social
issues. This group is generally facilitated by the Rev. Dr. Eric W.
Gritsch, Emeritus Professor of Church History, Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary and
a member of Zion, Bonnie Brobst, President of Zion's Church Council and an
educator, and the Rev. Dr. Holger Roggelin, Zion's pastor. All adults are
welcome for education and light refreshments. GERMAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL The Language School offers classes in German for all levels of experience and knowledge and for all ages. There are also Total Immersion programs and German for Travel classes offered at various times during the year. BIBLIOPHILES
From 1989- 1999, Zion Church sponsored the Zion
Literacy House.

Between 10:15 and 11:05 each Sunday morning in the months between October and
June the children and the adults of Zion meet for Sunday School. There are
two classes for children. The pre-kindergarten and primary aged children
meet for stories, song, and play while the intermediate class has lessons
and activities. Both groups are involved in special holiday celebrations
and intergenerational events.
Zion offers a Saturday German Language School under the leadership of Eva Kelleher from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from September through April.
This group of readers meet in the church lounge once per month to discuss a wide
range of books. The group has enjoyed stimulating conversations revolving
around both classic and current novels, children's literature, essays, short
stories, and nonfiction. Call the church office at (410) 727-3939 for the
