CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT FEATURING HILARY HAHN

Pastor Roggelin with Hilary Hahn and Conductor Paul Mori

More than 430 people enjoyed a memorable evening on December 22, 2005 with a Gala chamber concert by Hilary Hahn and friends and a reception sponsored by the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.

This is what some of them said:

“With soft lighting, Christmas decorations and warm acoustics, the church provided a welcoming environment for the benefit…
[Hahn] illuminated the almost spiritual beauty…
[on Janice Chandler-Eteme:] tonal richness … classy singer …
generous program”

Tim Smith, THE SUN

“It was so much more than I had expected, with all those wonderful artists.”“Those of us who were there were very privileged to have this experience.”

“My heart grew several sizes that night!”

**

“We all were thrilled by the wonderful concert with world-renowned violinist Hilary Hahn and her friends in this intimate setting. I would like to thank all musicians for this exceptional concert.
“Congratulations to Pastor Roggelin and to the congregation of Zion Church on 250 years of uninterrupted worship services in the German language. A truly remarkable time and a milestone not only for the Zion Church but also for the city.
An event to be proud of.”
